AA5 #1  This project will add Steampunk styling to a classic All American 5 tube radio. The chassis will be Cherry wood for its deep rich color. Brass and copper bling will be added along the way. |
Rough Chassis Layout  The cherry box is roughed out. Holes for tubes, I.F. cans, and other parts to be shown have been cut in. |
Radio Chassis Bottom View  This aluminum plate will be the radio chassis and serve as chassis ground. AA5's can be dangerous if the grounding and AC power are not handled correctly. |
Tuning Section  This front view shows the dial face glass and pointer set in a cherry wood frame. The dial face will be placed between this wood frame and the 1/8" plastic sheet behind it. The tuning knob will be linked to the variable capacitor with dial cord. |
